COMP CLOSED: Win Frederick Forsyth’s “The Outsider”!

If you haven’t heard of author Frederick Forsyth, we’re going to assume that you've been living under a rock. His modern thriller novels have sold millions of copies around the world – including classics such as The Day of the Jackal, The Odessa File and The Fourth Protocol. He has more than a dozen international bestsellers to his name.

But something that you may not know is that Freddie only started writing novels in his 30s and that his own life story “reads like a James Bond novel” (to quote the Irish Independent review). In his memoir, The Outsider, Forsyth shares the true events that have defined his life and clearly provided inspiration for his novels. Coups, civil wars, spies, typewriters and more. Oh my!

And if you’re still not convinced, check out the book’s opening sentences:

We all make mistakes, but starting the Third World War would have been a rather large one. To this day, I still maintain it was not entirely my fault. But I'm getting ahead of myself…

This week, we have a copy of Frederick Forsyth’s fascinating The Outsider to give away. All you need to do is share with us what your codename would be if you were a spy. Make it memorable, and you could win the book!

This competition has now closed – thanks for your entries! Winners will be announced in our weekly newsletter.
