Are you in your mid-to-late career as an author and need time to write? We know time is money and writing is time consuming!

The Copyright Agency established the Create Career Fund to assist authors and visual artists with the costs of writing, researching, and more.

From the press release:

The rights management organisation, whose members include authors, journalists, visual artists, photographers and publishers, provides almost $2m in funding annually to cultural institutions through its Cultural and Career Funds.

Authors and visual artists will be able to apply for funding amounts of between $10,000 and $20,000 to assist them with the costs associated with writing and researching or other forms of creative expression.

Two rounds of funding will be held each year with a total of $50,000 available in each round.

Applications are open now, closing on Friday 10 June 2016.
