Deb Fitzpatrick

Deb Fitzpatrick is a freelance editor and author with six published novels. Her most recent novel is The Spectacular Spencer Gray (Fremantle Press, 2017).

Deb’s two novels for young adults – 90 Packets of Instant Noodles and Have You Seen Ally Queen? – were both Notable Books at the Children’s Book Council of Australia Awards in 2011 and 2012. The Amazing Spencer Gray (2013), a novel for younger readers, was published in the United States in 2016. She is also the author of At My Door (2015) for younger readers, and The Break (2014) for adults.

Deb has a Master of Arts (Creative Writing) from the University of Western Australia and has had a lengthy career in publication editing. She is also frequently invited to fill the role of writer-in-residence at West Australian high schools and travels around the state speaking at writing and reading festivals.
