Michelle Barraclough

Michelle is a writer, podcaster, and presenter at the Australian Writers’ Centre. Her first novel, As I Am, was Highly Commended in the Richell Prize and led to a 12-month mentorship with Hachette. She is currently working on her second novel, The Tangled Green, and also writes personal essays, blogs and website content.

As one of the founding committee members for the popular literary festival StoryFest, she has curated literary programs and is an experienced moderator at festivals, book launches and author events – conducting live panels and in-conversations with authors such as Meg Mason, Pip Williams, James Bradley, Jessica Dettmann and Gina Chick to name a few.

Michelle is also the host of the popular podcast, Writers Book Club, where she conducts in-depth writing craft interviews with authors about their books, including Charlotte Wood, Markus Zusak, Sally Hepworth, Kate Mildenhall, Michael Robotham, Toni Jordan and Hannah Kent.

She holds a double degree in Arts (Literature) and Business (Marketing) from Monash University and has been writing across genres for over two decades.
