Crime and Thriller Writing

“The presenter had it all planned out very well into ‘modules’ and supplied examples of text from successful thriller writers to illustrate points. There was opportunity to practice character creation and to write scenes, and to get feedback from presenter and the other participants. It was stimulating, inspiring and enjoyable. I had the chance to be in the company of a successful author, two of whose books I had read. Her advice was like gold. Louisa is very savvy about the craft and the industry, and obviously used to giving these courses – it’s obvious she enjoys sharing expertise with unpublished would-be writers. I can more confidently submit to agents knowing what it is they are looking for in a submission. I am currently in a new six-month workshop – AWC is becoming a ‘home away from home’ for me!”
