2021 Questions Writing Prize is now open for young writers

Calling out all young Australian writers (18 to 30 years) – the 2021 Questions Writing Prize is now open! This prize awards $2000 to the best writing submitted and is a great chance to flex your creative muscles.

According to the website, the piece can be either fiction or non-fiction, but it must be between 1500 and 2000 words.

The lucky winner will then have their work published in an upcoming issue of Questions.

The winners in 2020 were:

  • Yasaman Bagheri for The Story Bridge
  • Joshua Lee Shimmen for Day-bag
  • Isabella Martin for Bad Blood
  • Minney Richani for The Mustafa Boys

The deadline for submissions is 1 May 2021 and there is no submission fee.
