Writer in residence: Luke Rutledge

Luke Rutledge is a writer from Brisbane, Australia. His debut novel, A Man and His Pride, will be published by Penguin Random House in January 2023.

Luke has worked as a communications professional since 2014. He studied journalism and professional writing, editing and publishing at the Queensland University of Technology. Before that, he studied music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he majored in classical flute.

Luke has loved writing stories since primary school, and is happiest when in the writing zone, reading a good book, or spending time with family and friends. He lives in Brisbane with his fiancé and their west highland terrier, Rufus.
