Inaugural Writers Week in Port Lincoln, SA

South Australian writers, we have fabulous news for you. The first ever Eyre Writers Week is kicking off in Port Lincoln in April! There will be talks, and workshops on different aspects of writing.

The Eyre Writers Week is part of the SALT Arts and Innovation Festival (22 to 29 April 2017) and it sounds like there’s going to be a whole lot of goodness for writers to soak up!

Among the line-up of events is a full-day workshop with  award-winning short story author Bill ‘Swampy’ Marsh. But there’s also many other fabulous workshops and events.

From the press release:

“Young Australian of the Year Finalist, Manal Younus, will conduct workshops in writing and performing poetry. And Tricia Stringer, RWA Romantic Book of the Year award winner, will appear in panel discussions and launch her latest Australian historical saga.

“Other authors and contributors include David Chapple of the SA Writers Centre, Adelaide suspense authors Rowena Holloway and Sandy Vaile, and local authors Diane Hester, Mary Gudzanovs and Vanessa Forsyth.

“From creative writing for children, song and poetry, to workshops on self-publishing and character development, Eyre Writers Week offers an exciting opportunity for anyone with a love of the written word.”

So, from the 22 to 29 of April, go soak up some amazing writing culture, South Australia.
