By applying for the Fiction Mentorship, I agree to the enrolment conditions below and confirm that I am 18 years or older.
Fees and commitment
- A non-refundable application fee of $50 is payable at the time of application.
- If accepted into the Fiction Mentorship, I agree to a minimum six-month commitment.
- The mentorship fee is $750 per month (total cost $4,500 for 6 months), charged monthly in advance, or $4250 paid upfront.
- By enrolling, I authorise Australian Writers’ Centre to automatically charge my nominated credit card $750 per month for a minimum of six consecutive months, or $4,250 for a six-month commitment as selected in my application.
- I acknowledge that by commencing the mentorship, I am committing to pay the full six-month minimum fee in exchange for the opportunity to participate in the Fiction Mentorship.
Cancellation and withdrawal
- Cancellation is only permitted before the mentorship commences.
- If I wish to withdraw after accepting an offer but before the mentorship start date, I must notify Australian Writers’ Centre in writing at least four weeks prior to commencement.
- If this notice is given, any mentorship fees paid (excluding the application fee) will be issued as a credit note, which may be used towards other Australian Writers’ Centre courses.
Exceptional circumstances
- In exceptional circumstances, special consideration may be given for withdrawals within the four-week period prior to commencement.
- If approved, a $125 administration fee will apply and a credit note will be issued for the remaining amount paid (excluding the application fee).
After commencement
- Once the Fiction Mentorship has commenced, no cancellations, transfers, pauses, or refunds are permitted for any reason, including changes to personal circumstances, work commitments, or availability.
- These conditions apply even if I commence the mentorship within four weeks of enrolling.
Program changes and conduct
Australian Writers’ Centre reserves the right to cancel or terminate the Fiction Mentorship. If this occurs, any mentorship fees paid for unused months will be refunded.
The Centre is committed to providing a productive, respectful, and nurturing environment. Australian Writers’ Centre reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to limit, suspend, or terminate participation in the mentorship without refund if a participant’s behaviour is disruptive, unprofessional, or impairs the experience of mentors.
