2019 Andy Griffiths Kids’ Writing Competition now open

Do you have a young writer in your life? A budding storyteller? Or maybe just an avid young reader? If so, we’ve found the perfect competition for them!

Dymocks and Pan Macmillan are inviting kids to get creative and enter a writing competition judged by the wonderful Andy Griffiths, author of the Treehouse Series

From the media release:

To celebrate the release of The 117-Storey Treehouse, we’re calling all Andy and Terry fans to knock our socks off with their imaginative short stories.

The one major prize winner will receive their story framed with illustrations by Terry Denton. The top 5 entries (including the winner) will each WIN* an Andy Griffiths book pack containing 8 books each supplied by Pan Macmillan valued at $116.88 each.

If you could add one level to Andy and Terry’s Treehouse, what would it be?

Entry is open to primary school-aged children who are residents of Australia.

Entries due by 30 September 2019.

For more information and to enter this competition, go to Dymocks’ website.

If your young writer is inspired by this competition and wants more, have a look at our Creative Writing Quest for Kids.
