We love hearing from our students no matter what they have to say, but when we hear of a student being published, we just want to shout it from the rooftops! We’re a little scared of heights, so we’ll go with a blog post instead.

Andrew says:

I finally finished my first novel and published it last September. It’s a crime thriller set in the inner west of Sydney called Left Luggage, and deals with the repercussions of secrets and lies within a family (the book is available online through Amazon!).

I did the Crime and Thriller Writing course back in 2012 with L.A. Larkin and really enjoyed it. The exercises and discussions helped me to understand aspects of the structure I had been struggling with and to better develop the main characters. One of the scenes in the book started life as a writing exercise for the course. After finishing the course I decided to knuckle down and get into a regular writing routine – so for the past few years I have been getting up at five am and writing before work.

Congratulations Andrew! Wanna read what he wrote? Buy the book here!
