We love hearing from our students no matter what they have to say, but when we hear of a student being published, we just want to shout it from the rooftops! We’re a little scared of heights, so we’ll go with a blog post instead.

Kira says:

I'm starting an independent magazine slated at the thinkers and the doers! We're currently working towards our first issue.

For me, Magazine and Newspaper Writing Stage 1 at AWC was the beginning of a process. I was hooked, and once I started producing and selling some work I decided I wanted to switch into journalism full time. I went back to uni and started my masters in journalism last year, where I met my current business partners. All of us wanted something more from media and to do something different, so we started Lost magazine.

This course was my gateway into the world of media. It gave me the skills to get started and a direction to head off in.

Congratulations Kira! We look forward to seeing your magazine in print!

If you have a success story to share with us, you can do so right here. We’ll share it with the world!
