COMP CLOSED ‘The 2020 Dictionary’ by Dom Knight

From Dom Knight, the bestselling author of 2019’s Strayapedia, comes the definitive dictionary of the year the world went to sh*t. Yes, it’s The 2020 Dictionary and this week, giving away three copies!

You might know Dom Knight as one of the founders of The Chaser. As a writer on most of their projects, he was definitely responsible for all of the jokes you liked and none of the bad ones. In recent years, he's also presented more serious programs on ABC Radio (and a silly one on Triple M).

In this latest book, Dom dives deep into the year that held such promise and explores where it all went oh so wrong – with the ultimate reference guide you didn’t know you needed. From bushfires to floods, from a recession to a global pandemic, and then Kanye West's presidential bid, 2020 was a terrible year. But it was also the year we all watched Hamilton, baked sourdough, had dinner parties on Zoom and drank lots. (Okay, so maybe the drinking bit wasn't great either.)

At the end of a year of trauma (albeit also great togetherness and community spirit… but yeah okay, mostly trauma),  it's time to look back at the year that was, and laugh about it all. The 2020 Dictionary contains everything we learned the year the world went to sh*t, helpfully collected in alphabetical order, and with jokes.

This book looks like a lot of fun (probably not entirely just because of the bright yellow cover), and could be just the thing your therapist recommends to help with your 2020 recovery. So, to be in to win a copy, simply tell us what word sums up YOUR 2020 and why (in 25 words or fewer)! Our favourite three answers will WIN a copy of the book.

Entries close midday Monday 7 December 2020, Sydney/Melbourne time.

THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED. THANKS FOR YOUR ENTRIES! WINNERS WILL BE CONTACTED BY EMAIL AND ANNOUNCED IN OUR NEWSLETTER.
