With so many quality blogs entered, the judges had a difficult job. However, we are pleased to announce the winners of the competition.
The overall winner was the blog that scored the highest score of any of the category winner blogs, as marked by the whole judging panel.
The 2011 winner of the Best Australian Blogs competition is Queensland blogger Nikki Parkinson for her blog Styling You.
Styling You was a stand out as a regularly updated blog rich in good writing, quality multimedia content and social media engagement. Not only is the blog visually attractive and an engaging read, Nikki also has a
strong community of supporters.

Personal/Lifestyle category judge Brenda Gaddi, founder of the Australian Bloggers Conference, on Random Ramblings of a Stay at Home Mum:
"I chose Random Ramblings of a Stay at Home Mum as the overall winner for this category for the simple reason that her writing is brilliant. It's painfully raw and brutally honest. Lori is fearless in her writing. She's been through hell and back and her writing is her truth. And I respect that a lot."
Bothersome WordsAbigail Nathan

Words category judge Angela Meyer, LiteraryMinded blogger, on Bothersome Words:
"Abigail blogs not only as an editor but as a reader. Her posts are informative, passionate and insightful, and never didactic. They are tightly written, with their own little quirks, like entertaining footnotes. She has a welcoming and generous tone and plenty of knowledge to impart. There is both variety and consistency, and the blog should be enjoyed widely by editors, writers and the general reader."
Bike ExifChris Hunter
