Best Australian Blog 2014 overall winner
We're thrilled to announce Christina Soong, South Australia-based food blogger, as national winner of the annual Best Australian Blogs Competition.
Christina's blog, The Hungry Australian, was selected as the overall winner from six category winners.
Australian Writers' Centre national director Valerie Khoo says: "The entrants in this year's competition reflect the diversity of voices and topics present in the Australian blogosphere. Christina's blog The Hungry Australian is a mix of deeply personal anecdotes, useful information, and beautiful imagery. It keeps readers engaged and entertained."
Christina wins the grand prize of a seven-day trip to Turkey with the global leader in guided holidays, Trafalgar.
This will be a seven-night guided holiday comprising return economy flights, centrally-located accommodation, most meals, an array of exclusive Insider Experiences, in-destination transfers and ground transportation, services of a Trafalgar Travel Director and insider moments from Local Experts.
Christina also wins:
- $1500 voucher for writing courses at the Australian Writers’ Centre.
- $1000 in cash from Random House.
- A one-hour mentoring session with Brandon Van Over, managing editor at Random House, to discuss publishing a book based on their blog or any other writing projects the blogger wishes to discuss.
- $500 worth of books from Random House.
