Sean Williams is an award-winning, #1 New York Times Best Seller author of over 40 novels, 100-plus stories, some odd poems and even a sci-fi musical. As well as his original fiction for readers of all ages, he has worked in universes created by other people, such as Star Wars and Doctor Who. He enjoys collaborating, most recently with Garth Nix on the first book of their new series, Have Sword, Will Travel. He has a PhD in the literary use and misuse of teleporters, and enjoys living just up the road from the finest chocolate factory in Australia.
Sean is the recipient of multiple awards for his novels. The Crooked Letter (part of the Books of the Cataclysm series) is the first fantasy novel to win both the Aurealis and Ditmar awards. In 2014, Sean and Garth co-authored the third novel in the New York Times Best Selling Spirit Animals series, Blood Ties.
His latest co-written series is Troubletwisters, a fantasy for middle grade readers, and Twinmaker, a near-future thriller for young adults (and old adults too).
On the sci-fi front, he has written several original award-winning space opera series as well as six novels set in the Star Wars universe, many co-written with fellow-Adelaidean Shane Dix. These include the Astropolis, Evergence, Orphans and Geodesica series, and the computer game tie-in The Force Unleashed–the first such adaptation ever to debut at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list.
